Millions of Followers or Limited Niche?
It is always important to set up a target audience when we start engaging in social media because it helps us to create precise content to attract the exact group of people. There are people who can gain millions of views or even followers overnight. There could be maverick behavior, controversial issue, world secrets, or fun fact in their content. Anyway, it brings tremendous clicks. However, do millions of clicks for one time is what everybody what for their social media? Or does the overnight explosion fit everybody’s needs?
The answer is no, for sure. Account traffic is good from many perspectives which include bringing more exposure, attracting a potential audience, strengthening account reputation, and so on. Nevertheless, content that can fit many people’s preferences always goes fades rapidly because it does not leave deep impressions, just like eating French fries. It brings you instant pleasure, but won’t retain long.
According to National Today's recent research, only 0.8 percent of Americans say they don't heart French fries. The likeability ratio to truffles in the nation could be a big difference compared to the French fries. Even truffles take 28 times more than potatoes to grow. Content with good quality needs enough dedication of time and energy. In addition, a high level of appreciation needs enough time and energy dedication too. That is to say, having a limited niche may not bring account traffic, but it always appears of good quality.
Working on a limited niche is like constructing a cement castle that can withstand any extreme weather. On the other hand, millions of followers overnight it's like a sand castle which can go done on a simply rainy day. Millions of followers are great, but good quality with a limited niche that can be appreciated for long-time worth to be valued too.
